Thalamus therapy delivers independent Occupational Therapy privately to children, their families and education staff across the East Midlands.

Children who may not have a diagnosis but are struggling to achieve their potential are welcome, as are conditions such as Autism, Dyspraxia, ADHD, Cerebral Palsy or Acquired Brain Injury.

Delivered from an evidence base, Occupational Therapy helps children develop everyday life skills. The list is endless from handwriting to using cutlery, riding a bike to coping in a busy classroom, or from catching a ball to self-organisational skills.

Thalamus assessment will help adults understand a child’s development, their motor and sensory processing and how this is influencing their behaviour and learning.

Thalamus therapy will use sensory motor activities to improve skills and will provide practical help and strategies to support a child and their carers.

Thalamus transition services provide practical support at an emotional and vulnerable time in a young persons life as they move from primary to secondary school.

Thalamus training will help educational staff understand the developmental, motor and sensory processing behind developmental disabilities. Also by offering practical solutions to teaching dilemmas it will improve skills in all children who are failing to reach their potential.
